About Snap different.
I’ve always been impressed with the iPhone camera. It has acted as a visual diary of my comings and goings from the day I lifted it out of the box. Lately, with all the amazing camera apps that are being released, I’ve been spending more time finding and creating images that I find interesting. I’m certainly not the only one—from friends to Flickr to Tumblr, more and more people whose photography I respect are taking amazing photos with their iPhones. It’s inspiring, and it’s a lot of fun.
Of course, the name of this site is a large nod to Apple’s classic “Think Different” ad campaign—one of my all-time favorite pieces of advertising. A lot of things started to change around the time of that campaign, and who’s to say if there would even be an iPhone if things had gone a little differently.
Snap Different is a companion site to my main site, beaucolburn.com. You can also find me on Twitter.

All images on this site were taken with Apple iPhone 3G. I’m constantly trying new photo editing apps, but here are some of the main ones I’ve been using.
- CameraBag
- Best Camera
- QuadCamera
- Mill Colour
- Tilt Shift Generator
I’m currently uploading all photos to Flickr either via the email upload function, or via the official Flickr app. Currently, the Flickr app is the only way that I am aware of to maintain EXIF data on photos that have been edited with 3rd Party apps. I always try to maintain as much EXIF data as possible.
